Duncan Fitzpatrick appointed President of Hibernia Management and Development Company Ltd.

Duncan Fitzpatrick will assume the role of president of Hibernia Management and Development Company Ltd., effective January 16, 2024.

Duncan is currently the Ore Processing Plant (OPP) Business Team Leader with Imperial and is based in Calgary Alberta. He is responsible for safety, reliability, risk mitigation, budget, and continuous improvement activities in the OPP plant unit. He provides leadership and direction to its operations, maintenance, and technical teams and led efforts to transform winter reliability and move the plant to industry-best results.

Duncan began his career with Imperial as a work-term student and was hired on after graduation as a subsurface engineer.

He has held progressively senior technical, supervisory, and management roles including the roles of Edmonton Area Superintendent and Upstream Stewardship and Planning Manager.

Duncan attended Dalhousie University where he received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering. In more recent years he completed a Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida.

Duncan is from Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador.
